GSN Announces Winners of 2019 Sustainability Awards
GSN Planet (GSN) announces the winners and runners-up of the 2019 Sustainability Awards. The 2019 Transformation in Sustainability Award was given to companies and individuals that/who utilize sustainable practices that are healthy for people and planet, save or preserve natural resources, utilize sustainable materials, and/or implement innovative and groundbreaking techniques, services, or programming.
The Awards dinner and ceremony took place during GSN’s 2020 Congress at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa on Tuesday, January 28, 2020. The Sustainability Awards recognize the innovations and outstanding accomplishments related to transformation in the field of sustainability within the wellness industry. An independent judging panel, made up of experts in the sustainability, spa, and wellness industries, evaluated and awarded companies and individuals that/who are leading the way in social and environmental responsibility.

A total of three awards were given for the most innovative idea, program, or action in sustainability in three categories; Spa, Brand, and Individual. GSN Board President, Bonnie Baker announced the winners and runners-up.

Award winners received a commemorative piece of art created by Erik Linton of LintonArt Designs, https://www.lintonartdesigns.com. Linton creates tree ring prints made from real trees and printed by hand. The awards art included a tree print from Alaska, Yellowstone National Park, and Grand Tetons National Park.
