Bonnie is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in the wellness industry focusing on hospitality, ecotourism, spa development, and traditional therapies. She brings a wealth of hands-on experience having worked with some of the leading Hotel companies and Spa Brands around the world such as the Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, and re-known locations such as Tabacón Thermal Springs in Costa Rica, and Chablé Resort in Mexico.  Because of her passion for promoting ecological practices, Bonnie was voted Environmental Leader of 2018 by American Spa Magazine. She resides in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico where she operates IRIS Spa at Dos Casas Hotel, and a family-run Biodynamic Farm and Learning Center.

Thor Holm has been General Manager at Osmosis Day Spa Sanctuary for the past four years. Prior to that Thor spent 26 years working in spa management in four Florida Resorts. He has served on numerous boards including ISPA for six year before joining the GSN Board two years ago.

Caline has been in the wellness industry for the past 15 years; after obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration she dove into the holistic health industry by completing her Master’s degree in traditional Chinese Medicine. She has been working for the past 9 years as the Executive Director for Intentional Health & Wellness and is responsible for the oversight of all Acupuncture Practitioner recruitment, on-boarding, training, operations, and revenue management, menu and business development for their practices within spa locations around the country.  She is also the Area Director for Exhale and manages the Exhale spa and fitness facilities in Miami, a revolutionary well-being brand where body meets mind.

As Chief Creative Officer for Kerstin Florian, Julie is responsible for the global identity and brand equity of Kerstin Florian International. She oversees the creative development department, guiding new areas of development and expansion, including new product and treatment development, wellness initiatives and corporate responsibility.

Clifford Bast has pioneered numerous Sustainability initiatives as a passionate leader and consultant for industry, NGOs and government.   He spent 20 years leading Hewlett-Packard’s Global Environmental/Product Stewardship programs and played significant roles in establishing impactful industry collaboratives, notably the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) and the Green Spa Network. Cliff continues to build upon his extensive international work and public speaking experience to advance Environmental Social Governance (ESG) and to show how the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can contribute to corporate branding and business performance.  

Suzy Bordeaux Johlfs,  has 30 years of  experience in her hospitality career.   Her current role is with the  Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa California,  as she proudly holds  the Spa Director  title at this iconic resort.   Earlier she successfully opened a Platinum LEED Certified Resort  in Colorado, where she was part of a team that  won two prestigious  Conde Nast  Reader ‘s Choice Awards back to back. 2010  # 1  Resort  in the United States and  in 2011  #2 Spa  in the United States as well as opened the spa as the first luxury green spa in the state of Colorado.  She loves to spend time with her family, as well as enjoy a great bottle of wine, as she is former wine bar owner and collector.

Rocco Bova, an Italian-born hotelier and a world traveller, is a passionate, energetic and enthusiastic professional, with experience from classic hotels to cutting-edge design, from business city properties to resorts operations and from golf resorts to destination wellness with over 25 years of experience. His involvement in sustainability is nothing new. The past 10 years and particularly with companies like LUX* Resorts in Mauritius, Aman Resort in Dominican Republic and more recently with Chable’ Yucatan where he currently is the General Manager, he has contributed in developing and implementing sustainable policies helping the local community, the environment and educating its guests in all the activities the resort is involved.

Lynn Curry has provided financial feasibility, design, concept, and pre-opening consulting services to dozens of upscale and luxury hotel, resort, and casino spas since 1997. She is a Certified Management Consultant through the Institute of Management Consultants, a member of the esteemed International Society of Hospitality Consultants, an Educator with Gerson Lehrman Councils, and was American Spa Magazine’s Favorite Spa Consultant in 2018.  Lynn started her hospitality career in destination sales with the Anaheim CVB, hotel sales with Hyatt Resorts Hawaii and ultimately in spa operations when she opened Spa Grande at Grand Wailea Resort, Maui.

My personal mission statement in life is to add value to the people, the planet and the businesses I serve.  My career has spanned from high school lacrosse coach to massage therapist to corporate spa director – and many things in between.  Everyday I strive to lead gracefully, teach wisely, learn & listen patiently,  grow beautifully – and create spaces for others to do the same.

With over 20 years in wellness hospitality development projects it has been a pleasure to become family with such an amazing industry. With a personal focus on wholistic wellness for communities and the planet, it is an honor to be part of the GSN Planet Board of Advisors.

Sallie Fraenkel is President of Mind Body Spirit Network, a company focused on wellness travel consulting and experiential events. Sallie is passionate about sustainable wellness tourism believing that wellness of the individual is inextricably linked with wellness of the planet. Making meaningful connections for people is a key part of Sallie’s purpose.

Nicole is an entrepreneur, startup advisor, avid yogi and amateur creative. In her current position as COO of Honua Hawaiian Skincare, she leads operations and marketing, which means she may be fine-tuning a new formula one day, ensuring the latest products make it to stores and e-commerce sites the next day, or planning one of the Honua’s annual sustainability events another day. Before making the career jump to consumer and beauty, Nicole was an investment banker and passionate renewable energy and sustainability devotee, holding senior positions at Citigroup, Inc. and SolarCity.  She lives in the thriving city of San Francisco, keeping very busy as a mom to two tiny humans and is usually found planning their next adventure.

Natasha Prybyla founded Sloco Massage + Wellness Spa as a Certified Massage Therapist, a decade before “wellness” and “sustainability” were most recently listed as a trend in a recent industry report. She aims to help make a shift within the spa and salon world to make personal and planetary aspects of business that are here to stay. Sloco is the world’s first Certified B Corp Day Spa and is located in San Luis Obispo, California.

Adar Venyige, VP of Sales and Marketing for Dazzle Dry Nail Lacquer, was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and currently resides in Phoenix AZ with his 2 children, Hannah 9 and Isaac 6.

Tracie Wertz is a highly successful senior-level sales and marketing professional with over twenty years’ experience in the spa industry providing impactful business solutions for spas of all sizes.  Tracie is passionate about the industry she serves and helps her spa partners realize their unique position to be the micro-influencer of their communities and capitalize on the demands and evolving needs of the new, powerful wellness consumer.  She has been a GSN Board member since 2014 and remains inspired by the ability of GSN to cause positive change within the wellness industry where we can then influence the consumers and communities for planetary impact.
