GSN Accepting Nominations for Sustainability Awards
GSNPlanet (GSN) is currently accepting nominations for their 2019 Sustainability Awards. These awards recognize the innovations and outstanding accomplishments related to transformation in the field of sustainability within the wellness industry. An independent judging panel, made up of experts in the sustainability, spa, and wellness industries, evaluates and awards companies and an individual that/who are leading the way in social and environmental responsibility.
The 2019 Transformation in Sustainability Award will be given to companies and an individual that/who utilize sustainable practices that are healthy for people and planet, save or preserve natural resources, utilize sustainable materials, and/or implement innovative and groundbreaking techniques, services, or programming.
A total of three awards will be given for the most innovative idea, program, or action in sustainability in three categories; Spa, Brand, and Individual. Award participants may submit their nominations between the dates of October 31-December 31, 2019. An entry fee of $25 will be required.
Nominations for the Transformation in Sustainability Award can be submitted online from now through December 31 at www.greenspanetwork.org/gsn-sustainability-awards.
Judges for the Sustainability Awards include GSN Foundation Board Members, including:
- Tara Grodjesk, President and Owner of TARA Spa Therapy + GSN Emeritus Board Member
- Jim Chenevey, CEO of Living Earth Crafts + GSN Emeritus Board Member
- Rianna Riego, Founder of Rianna Riego, LLC
- Mary Tabacchi, PhD, Professor at Cornell University + Global Wellness Summit Board Member
- Neal Herman, President and Chief Operations Officer of Las Catalinas
- Bonnie Baker, Co-founder of Satteva Spa and Wellness Concepts + GSN Board President
- Jessica Gilden, GSN Business Manager
The Awards ceremony will take place during GSN’s 2020 Congress at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa. Winners will be announced during the awards dinner on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 and will walk the green carpet to receive a commemorative piece of art.
