We are seeking a highly talented and practiced Executive Chef to oversee the entire BOH for a brand new, highly-anticipated high-volume, vibrant upscale restaurant concept situated in the San Francisco North Bay. The new free-standing restaurant will officially open in September and feature a unique twist on California Cuisine inspired by local seasonal ingredients. Must have 4+ years of Executive Chef leadership experience preferably at a well-established free-standing, full-service high-volume upscale restaurant with ample private party business. Strongly prefer chef candidates with a pleasing, upbeat personality and an approachable, authentic, calming temperament, setting an example for entire kitchen staff. Work involves overseeing the entire BOH culinary operation, including dinner, weekend brunch, wedding receptions, corporate gatherings and private parties. Proven skills in leadership, strong teamwork, working well under pressure and being self-motivated. Work within budget guidelines and parameters. Oversee kitchen labor costs, food cost, payroll and work schedules. Excellent command of both spoken and written English. Reports directly to COO. Annual base salary to $115K plus bonus, free health insurance and some relocation.
